OSDC Places Second in Hobie Invitational

The Ohio State Diving Club (OSDC) was invited to attend the inaugural Hobie International Invitational in December.

Named after diving legend Hobie Billingsley, a former Olympic head coach and head coach for Indiana University, the meet featured national and international competitors, including 2008 Olympian Thomas Finchum and several members of the USA Diving National Training Center.

OSDC finished in second place out of 12 teams.

Brad Weimer was OSDC’s top individual performer, winning the boys age 12-13 one-meter, three-meter, and platform.

In the girls’ 16-18 category one-meter event, Alexandria Clay, Allie Alter, and Andrea Acquista placed second, third, and fourth, respectively.

The team also had the honor of meeting Billingsley at the event.
