Ohio State Club Divers Named All-Americans
Six members of the Ohio State Diving Club, Hunter Atha (Worthington Kilbourne High School), David Dinsmore (New Albany High School), Grant Saale (Dublin Jerome High School), Olivia Ball (Olentangy Liberty High School), Alexandra Clay (Olentangy Liberty High School), and Brittany Menninger (Olentangy Liberty High School) were selected as All-Americans by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) for high school diving.
Only 100 boys and 100 girls from across the country were chosen for this award. These divers represent the top 1 percent of all high school divers in the nation who compete in interscholastic competitions. To be eligible, divers submitted a video of a competition performance reviewed by former divers and coaches. The top 200 divers were selected based off the video entry, rankings, and competition scores,.
“I am proud of our divers and their extraordinary accomplishments,” said Head Coach Justin Sochor. “This has been an amazing year for our club, with winning a national title and having six divers qualify for the Olympic trials. Our entire club shares the excitement of these divers’ achievement of All-American status.”
Atha and Clay will continue their diving careers on scholarships this fall at the University of Wisconsin and Stanford University, respectively.
