A Summer To Remember

Congrats Worthington for a fantastic summer!

Swimmers competed in 5 different championship meets in July:

• Ohio Senior Champs: 11 swimmers ages 15 & over earned 37 individual life-time best times.
• Regional Champs: 34 swimmers ages 14 & under earned a whopping 192 individual life-time best times!
• Central Zone Sectionals: 11 swimmers earned 15 individual life-time best times and set 4 new team records: Paige Delma in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.21), Matt Fralic in the 50 back (27.06), Connor Florence in the 50 fly (26.74) and the 200 medley relay team of Matt Fralic, Mason Deerwester, Connor Florence, Zach Barnes (1:49.42)
• Ohio Junior Champs: 9 swimmers ages 14 & under competed at the state champs, highlighted by Mack Sterling’s 3rd place finish in the 50 meter freestyle, 6th place in the 100 fly and Logan Ament’s 7th place finish in the 100 freestyle. The 13-14 boys 200 medley relay (Patrick Cline, Logan, Mack and Brendan Williams) placed 9th, while the 400 medley relay (Patrick, Logan, Mack and Connor Bartter) placed 10th.
• Eloise Gerlach, Mack and Logan also represented Team Ohio at the Central Zone Meet for swimmers ages 14 & Under in Elkhart, Indiana (best swimmers of Ohio, Indiana and Michigan). Logan placed 7th in the 50 butterfly while Mack placed 12th.
