SHORT COURSE 2025-2026 COMPETITIVE SWIMMING

Short Course 2025-2026 Swim Season

We are thrilled for our first season in the new Natatorium!! What a historic moment for our swimmers, for our club, and for the Worthington community! It has been a long time coming and the anticipation for the first splash is intense.

The new Nat will feature 10 lanes for practice and 8 lanes for competition. There are so many exciting advantages to the larger pool. Swim meets will feature quicker sessions for our families. We get to offer more practices on week nights and Saturday mornings. Days and times that are often more convenient for families. Fewer Fridays and no more Sundays when attendance always dropped.

Some aspects of what you love about our team will remain the same. It will be the same coaches; the same methodical progression for all swimmers from technical development to training to racing; and the same season layout with quick one-day meets in the Fall, building towards larger invitational meets in the Winter and culminating with Championships in late February/early March. We will also continue to create fun social activities for the swimmers in and out of the pool.

The new facility will also bring exciting changes to our team structure. We are combining our 4 training groups (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum) into 3 new groups. We have named these groups: Explorers, Adventurers and Racers. Swimmers will move through these groups according to school grades. They will go to the pool with all their peers from school. They will receive age-specific advice from the coaches on all topics associated with the sport (competition, practice, sportsmanship, nutrition, hydration, rest, mental challenges, goal setting,…)

Every training group will be subdivided in smaller groups based current level of skills to ensure that every swimmer is met at their exact level of development in the sport with appropriate drills and challenges.

All families may choose between a regular start (September 8) or a late start (October 27). Late start is designed for swimmers who are participating in a different sport in early Fall. Late start fees are discounted but the regular start is a better deal.

We look forward to what will be a memorable swim season. All the important info including practice days/times, fees and registration info is this booklet. We hope you will join in the fun!

Please call or text with questions. We will also offer plenty of options to meet with families and discuss more specifics in September and October.

GO WORTHINGTON!
