Thom Bick came to us in the summer of 1998 as the Head Developmental Coach South. He continued with in that position until 2004 where he switched to the National Prep and Senior Coach. He continued in that position until 2007 where he became the National Assistant and Senior Coach and has continued that position until today. During that time he has coached on several Zones and All Star Teams. He also has help run LSC Camps. During his time as Interim Head Coach he was selected as the Sectional Coach of the year.
Thom is a 1993 graduate of Hazelwood Central. During his time swimming High School he set the 100 Breaststroke High School record which still stands, was a multiple conference Champion and record holder(lasted 15 years), 2x team Captain, recipient of the Hawk Award for outstanding performance and placed top 10 at state his senior year. He then got a scholarship to swim at UMSL where he continued to drop every year until they dropped their program. At that time he decided to give up swimming and take up coaching at a more dedicated level. He graduated from UMSL with a degree in Philosophy and a minor in Classical Studies in 1997.
Prior to coaching at Parkway Swim Club Thom was the assistant coach at Emerson YMCA. Here is where he really found joy in coaching and helping athletes reach new levels. After Emerson YMCA he joined Rockwood Swim Club as a site assistant with many groups. While at Rockwood he was offered and became the Head Coach of the St Charles County YMCA. In a short 18 months he quadrupled the number of state qualifiers for the team and increased its size by more than double.
Kian Quigley was named Head Age Group Coach for Parkway Swim Club in August of 2022. When coming to Pakrway, he was named as the Head Developmental Coach back August of 2019. Kian oversees the AGS & Blue groups and is in charge of the age group and developmental as a whole. As a coach of young athletes, Kian appreciates the delicate balance of working hard, and having fun while doing so.
Kian began his swim career at Parkway Swim Club many years ago. He began swimming Parkway at the developmental level and went on to have a successful swimming career during his high school years. Kian finished top 8 multiple times at Region 8 Sectional meets, and several times finishing top 3. He attended Winter Jr Nationals in 2014 and NCSA Jr Nationals in the summer of 2015. Kian then continued to swim 4 years of college at Lindenwood University where he was a 4 time NCAA National Qualifier, 3 time NCAA All-American, 4 time NCAA Scholar All-American, 2 time Lindenwood Team Captain, and Lindenwood University school record holder.
At Lindenwood Kian received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Exercises Science, as well as a minor in Strength and Conditioning. During his collegiate years, Kian continued to work and coach for Parkway Swim Club. He served as an assistant for the Red, White, and Blue groups, as well as Senior, National Prep and National groups.


Mary Jane Woehler, better known as MJ joined Parkway Swim Club
in August 2017 to take over
the Senior I West/South Group which is now JV West. This group is
running at capacity
qualifying swimmers for Division I Champs and preparing them to
move into the Varsity Group.
Before coming to Parkway, MJ was the Head Age-Group coach for the
Rec Plex Sharks in St.
Peters where she coached many Ozark Championship Champions and High
Point Winners.
From 2007 to 2010 she was chosen to be one of the Ozark Team
Coaches at The Central
Zones Swim Meets and in 2016 she was accepted to coach at the
Central Zones Select Camp
in Cincinnati.
MJ began her coaching career as a Summer League coach in 1994. She
grew her team from
80 to 200 members in 4 years. She still feels that Summer League
teams are a great way to
begin a successful swimming career and she loves encouraging these
swimmers to swim year
round on a USA Swim Team as well as for their High School Swim
Teams.
MJ’s swimming career started in Summer League and then
quickly moved to year round
swimming. She was a charter member of the Sugar Creek Swim Club
here in St. Louis that
disbanded in the 1990’s. She held several Ozark Records and
earned a scholarship to
Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. At SIU-C she qualified
for Division I Nationals and
held school and conference records. Her most recent swimming
accomplishments are in US
Masters Swimming. She holds 13 Ozark Masters Swimming records and
has achieved 3
Masters Swimming National titles.




Elise Amo started coaching with Parkway Swim Club in 2016 with
Senior 1, now known as Junior
Varsity. She also assisted with Parkway’s Red Group, Prep,
Pre-Prep, and Swim School programs. Prior to
Parkway, she taught group and private swim lessons with DASH Swim
Club throughout her 4 years of
college. Elise’s hope as a Red Group Coach is to help young
people reach their full potential and learn to
push through any obstacle they may face. Perseverance and being
goal-oriented have always been
important values to her. She wants all children to be successful
and independent, in and out of the
water. Elise wants children to be able to apply these life skills
not only to swimming but also in their
adult lives.
Elise graduated from Pattonville Senior High School in 2012. On top
of swimming 4 years in high
school, she also played year-round soccer, 2 years of high school
soccer, ran 3 years of cross country,
and ran 2 years of track. She earned hardest worker for swimming,
Most Valuable Swimmer, Most
Valuable Runner for Cross Country, and Most Dedicated for Track
& Field. She joined Parkway Swim Club
in May 2010 so she could swim in college.
In May 2016, Elise graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and
Sociology from Loras College, a small
4-year college in Dubuque, IA (about 3 hours from Chicago). She
swam distance all 4 years at Loras. Her
events included the 500 free, 1,000 free, 200 free, 400 IM, 1650
free.
In May 2022, Elise graduated with a M.A. in Behavior Analysis and
became a Board Certified
Behavior Analyst/Licensed Behavior Analyst in Missouri (BCBA-LBA)
in January 2023. She works full-time
as an ABA Teacher’s Assistant for Special School District of
St. Louis County full-time on top of coaching.
In her free-time, she likes to swim, read, make Spotify playlists,
and play with her Himalayan/Persian
cats, Max and Dexter.
