The San Mateo Masters (SMM) is a nationally recognized United States Masters Swimming (USMS) program.  The team was formed and founded by Ray and Zada Taft in 1971 under the name San Mateo Master Marlins.  It was the first team registered in our local region known as Pacific LMSC.   Like most masters teams, SMM welcomes swimmers of all levels beginning at the age of 18 and up.  We presently swim at two pools located in San Mateo County on the campuses of the College of San Mateo and Canada College.  Our head coach is Tom Reudy.
