HAVING TROUBLE ENTERING YOUR FIRST MEET ON OME.SWIMCONNECTION.COM?

Common OME.SwimConnection snags that brand new users can encounter:

1.  Your athlete is not found and you feel stuck, trapped, unable to proceed.  First make sure you entered the fields correctly.  If the athlete is not located in the database, then use the "guide me" button and say that you are not a member of Pacific Swimming (even if you mailed the athlete member application over a week ago).  

When you say that the athlete is not a member of Pacific Swimming, you will "Enter all info manually" and several fields will appear and a "pending" checkbox will also appear.  Our club code is BSC.  Complete all the fields and check the pending box.  Swimconnection will create a temporary registration number to let you enter the meet (be sure to input the correct middle initial, in most cases your temporary number will be the same as your permanent number).

2. The other common snag is getting stuck because you don't know your athlete's times?  Don't worry.  Just use the "Best" button to the right side of the event(s) your athlete will swim.  The software software populates a time or "NT" into the field.  NT stands for "no time".

3.  Lastly if you are a recent transfer from another team some other complications may come up in swimconnection, if that happens to you email Coach Jim.  If there is time before the earlier of: when the session fills up and closes; or, before entries close due to deadline, a coach can usually work with SwimConnection to get things set right so your athlete can get entered.
