Great Junior Olympic Meet Dec 4-6

CDST swimmer had an excellent swim meet at Junior Olympic meet Dec 4-6 last weekend.  It was a 3-day meet Friday to Sunday.  The meet started at 9:00am and conclusion of finals was around 6:00pm every day. We had 20 swimmers participated in JO this time, and had so many great swims in freezing cold weather.  Jordan Vega, Misha Galant, Christopher Ha made top 8 finals, and Stephen, Eric, Jessica made consolation finals (top 16).   Our 11-12 boys team (Jordan, Misha, Eric, Stephen) won the first place in both 200 Medley and 200 freestyle relays, and 13-14 boys team (Michael, Chris, Anthony and Dustin) made Far Western cut in both 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle relays.  Congratulations boys!

Dec 12-13: C/B/A+ Dual Venue Meet:  Mills College Swimming Pool,( 5000 MacArthur Blvd. , Oakland )

Jan 16 -1 7: C/BA+ San Ramon Valley Livermore Aquatics Meet

Feb 20-21: Zone 2 Championships (Location TBA)

Holiday Practice Schedule ( Dec 9, 2009 – Jan 3, 2010 )

Christmas and New Year holiday are coming soon.  It is very important to keep our swimmer in the water as much as possible during the holiday, not skip swimming for entire two weeks during the holiday season.  We also understand that it is very important for all of us to take a break, plan a vacation and have some wonderful time with families and friends during the holiday season.  So to minimize the holiday impact on swimming, following is the practice schedule during holidays:

Dec 19:   Elite/Platinum: 8:00am – 10:00am       Gold/Platinum: 10:00am – 11:30am

Dec 21: Elite/Platinum: 8:00am–10am     Gold: 10:00am – 12:00noon (2hr)      Sliver: 10:00am – 11:30am (1.5hr)

CDST Christmas Party: 3:00pm-7:30pm (Movie, Fresh Choice, Game…)

Dec 22, 23: Elite/Platinum: 7:00am – 9:00am   

Dec 23: Gold: 5:30pm – 7:30pm (2hr)     Sliver: 5:30pm – 7:00pm (1.5hr)

Dec 24 – 27 (Pool closed, No Practice, Merry Christmas!)

Dec 28- Jan 3 (Pool Maintenance, No Practice, Happy New Year!)

Note: Due to annual pool maintenance at Calphin, we can’t arrange any practice from Dec 28-Jan 3.  We will notify you through email if any additional practice possible. As usual you can always check news and updates at team website http://www.teamunify.com/Calendar.jsp?_tabid_=8068&team=pccdst.
