CDST Winter Travel Teams, Husky & Winter Jr. Nat
CDST Elite Group sent six swimmers to Husky Invitational, Federal Way, WA, and one swimmer to the Winter Junior National Championships, Austin, TX in the past two weeks. Many best times, new championship meet cuts and histories had been made in the past weeks as one of the successful winter seasons for CDST's senior-level swimmers.
72nd Husky Invitational
The last time CDST participated in Husky Invite was in 2019. After 3 years of interruption by COVID, we backed to the meet again this year. The six quaifiers were the first time this winter traditional indoor swimming competition. All of them did all the best times in the events, and many new team records and new time cuts were made. The boy team scored 126 points, listed as No. 13 out of 23.

Medha Raghuraman - 100 Back, 58.91, First-time SECTIONAL CUT, Team Record.
Ray Cillo - 50 Free, 21.81, New Personal Best Time.
Justin Ely - 1650 Free, 16:43.83, New SECTIONAL CUT, Team Record.
Leo Gao - 100 Free, 50.16, New Personal Best Time.
Ryin Ruaboro - 200 IM, 1:53.41, First-time FUTURE CUT, Team Record.
Winter Junior National WEST
This was the second time Edward Huang qualified for the Winter Junior National. Last year, he histroycal finished 22nd in the C final of 100 Backstroke. After last year at Jr. Nat, he set on a new goal, and after one year of hard training, he made the B final for 100 Butterfly and A final for 100 Backstroke last weekend. He finished up with 13th in 100 Butterfly with 47.83 and 7th in 100 Backstroke with 47.73. It was the first CDST swimmers qualified A final at USA Swimming major meet and finished TOP 8 in the USA! His 50 Freestyle also had great time, 20.65.
