2023 January Newsletter

Hello CDST Swimmers & Families,

First of all, Happy New Year!  2023 is going to be a great year filled with opportunities for growth & improvement.  We have many things to look forward to this Month, including Zone 2 Championships this coming weekend (1/21-22), and the Dolphin Challenge (A Swimming Fundraiser), the following week (1/27-28).

During December we held our Annual Christmas Party for over 100 CDST Swimmers.  Together we celebrated with dinner, music, games, & some more team bonding.  Coaches also gave out some fun awards to Swimmers who have excelled in different areas over the last couple of Months.  Including Awards for: the Cutest Dolphins, Best Helper, Best Listener, Social Animals, Rising Stars, Stretch Leader, etc.

CDST Coaches have also chosen the December Swimmers of the Month:

Gold 1:  Bhavyesh Gangisetty

Gold 2:  Suhavi Grewal

Platinum:  Saatvika Sonawane

Senior:  Jaslyn Tsui

Elite:  Ryin Ruaboro

The Coaching Team also went to a Coaches Clinic in early January & got the chance to meet five-time Olympic gold medalist, Nathan Adrian.  Coach Felice, & Coach Anna were so excited, they made sure to get a photo with the inspiring Olympic Swimmer turned Coach.  Overall, the Team is preparing for some big Swim Meets coming up in the next couple of Months, so keep working hard in 2023, & GO CDST!!
