The 2024 Speedo Summer Championships, a culmination of Edward's six-year journey to the National level meets, were hosted at Irvine, CA, from 07/23-07/27. This championship meet was combined with the Senior(19+) and Junior nationals(18 & U). Edward's significant progress in his events, racing time, and experiences with elite-level competitions is a testament to his dedication and hard work.

In the 100 meter Butterfly, he improved his personal best time in the preliminary to 55.16, advanced to the C finals, and placed 23rd overall.
On his signature event, the 100-meter Backstroke, he advanced to A final with 56.78 and finished 5th overall with 56.49. His appearance in the A final was CDST's first time we had swimmers in the national top-level championship meet(5 starts level), A finals, and top 8 finishes.
Edward Huang, a beacon of inspiration, brought CDST huge honors from all national-level meets. His achievements have set a great role model for all CDST swimmers, showing them what dedication and hard work can achieve. As he prepares to head to UC Berkeley for the Fall and swim collegiately for the Cal Bears, we wish him all the luck and congratulate him on all his performances during his time at CDST.
