CDST Wins 1st Place at Zone 2 Championship Meet
Greetings CDST Families,
Happy New Year to all, and congratulations to CDST Swimmers who attended the Zone 2 Championship Meet. CDST won 1st place in the large club division, and took home the trophy! The trophy will be at the Pool for each Group to take photos for a couple of weeks. As a team we have experienced many wins together. Coaches and Swimmers got to see their hard work payoff, and Parents, Officials, and Meet coordinators experienced the success of their hardwork and dedication to the sport. There were a few swim meets leading up to Zone 2 Champs, which helped swimmers achieve qualifying time standards. It is a tremendous Team achievement to have so many swimmers competing at this higher level Swim Meet, and one of the main reasons we’ve experienced this success.
CDST would like to recognize the following Swimmers for their contributions to this huge win for the Team. We had three-swimmers who won the High-Point Award for their age groups, which contributed a great deal towards achieving 1st place in Pacific Swimming- Zone 2. Jaqueline Kuo earned the most points in the 8 & Under Girls age group; Vanessa Kuo earned the most points in the 9-10 Girls age group; and Dhivashree Kesavan earned the most points in the 11-12 Girls age group. These Swimmers have been putting in the work in practice and at Swim Meets to achieve these special awards, and we are so very proud of them, and grateful for their contributions and leadership to the California Dolphin Swim Team.
CDST would also like to congratulate the following Swimmers who’ve earned Top 8 Swimmer points in their age groups at the Zone 2 Championship Meet:
8 & Under Girls finishing Top 8: Areerada Jirathramakul, Evie Kwok, Aaris Monsalud.
8 & Under Boys finishing Top 8: Eddie Bi, Isaiah Fadillah, Calix Lai, Ishaan Malik, Jasper Yan.

9-10 Boys finishing Top 8: Finnlie Lai, Charles Liu Bates, Vincent Huang.
11-12 Boys finishing Top 8: Justin Huang, Levin Nguyen, Asher Song.
13-14 Girls finishing Top 8: Sophia Gallagher.
15-16 Boys finishing Top 8: Jonathan Fan, Kevin Zhang.
17-18 Boys finishing Top 8: Justin Ely, Eric Meng.
For those who have yet to achieve an A or B time, please remain focused on your goals. Goal setting is something we continue to do through the Swim Season. Competing at meets allows for us to see where we need to improve and where we need to focus our efforts. CDST is ready to embrace future goals and challenges. Being ready to change with the parameters that we live within, is a power that allows for continuous growth. Swimmers may need to change habitual forms, which can lead to breaking bad habits and allow for progression. As a team we’ve leveled up in many ways. Even special events, like the 2024 CDST Christmas Party helped to raise our standards and improve our bonding experiences. A huge thank you to all who participated in the Christmas Party, it was a great way to end 2024!
We have the Long-Course Season coming up, and have added Long-Course practices to our weekly schedule. This will continue to prepare us for the upcoming Age-Group, and Far Western Championship Meets. We will also be hosting another CDST C/B/BB Meet at Ohlone in March. Feel free to check out some of these swimming related movies, shows, documentaries, etc.: Young Women and the Sea, Pride, Touch the Wall, Unfiltered, Sprint, etc. In addition to all the CDST highlights, we’ve attached the Swimmer of the Month award list for the first half of the 2024-2025 Season. If you received an award please come see Coach Anna on the pool deck to collect your gift card. Keep up the hard work, and GO CDST!!!
