Local swimmers break records at invitational meet

Alicia Carlin, who swims for the Bremerton YMCA Swim Team, won the 50-yard freestyle at the Tacoma Swim Club's November Age Group Invitational last weekend at Wilson High School.  

Carlin won the event in 25.96 seconds in the 15 & Over division. Teammate Samantha Lingenbrink won the 200 free in 2 minutes, 2.35 seconds in the same age division.

 

The 200-medley relay team of Lingenbrink, Sarah Avery, Liane Hirata and Carlin, won in a club-record time of 1:55.85. Sisters Sarah Avery and LeahAvery, and Samantha Carlin and Alicia Carlin set a club record, and finished third, in the 200 free relay in 1:45.87.
