What temperature is the pool, and how is it sanitized?
Our lap pool is kept at approximately 83°F. All pools are sanitized with sodium hypochlorite and tested multiple times daily to ensure safe, balanced water for our swimmers.

Should my child take swim lessons year-round?
Yes! Year-round lessons help swimmers retain skills, build confidence, and stay safe in the water. Long breaks can lead to skill regression, so we recommend continuous lessons whenever possible.

When do lessons run, and how are they scheduled?
We run session-based lessons year-round. Regular classes are offered on the following schedules:

Monday/Wednesday – 30-minute classes

Saturdays – 55-minute classes
In addition, we offer hour-long “camp sessions” during Spring Break and Christmas Break for families looking for a short-term, intensive option.
When can I register, and can I join mid-session?
You can register online anytime during open registration. If the session has already started, we’ll prorate your fees for the remaining classes.

We can only move swimmers to another session if the current one has not yet started and space is available.

During Lessons
How should my swimmer dress for class?
All students must wear an appropriate swimsuit (one-piece suits are recommended). Hair must be secured out of the face, and long hair should be tied back. Swim caps are highly encouraged.

Yes. One parent or guardian may watch lessons. Please limit additional guests, as deck space and seating are limited.

Can I use other parts of the gym while my child is in class?
Only gym members have access to the fitness areas and locker rooms. Non-members may use the Family Restroom during lesson times only.

Progress & Placement
What happens if my child is more or less advanced than others in class?
Our instructors quickly assess skill levels and adjust their teaching to meet each child’s needs. We monitor progress throughout the session and may suggest a level change if needed.

It’s common to repeat levels 3–6 times. Swimmers need time to build skills and confidence.

Instructors evaluate skills throughout each session. To pass a level, swimmers must consistently demonstrate mastery of all skills and exit tests before advancing.

Where can I find my child’s skill results at the end of a session?
Log in to your online account, go to My Account > Account Info > Members tab > Child’s Name > Classes tab, and select the most recent class. Skills with a green checkmark have been mastered.

What are the level Exit Tests?
Each level has a set of final skills swimmers must demonstrate to advance. (A full list is available HERE).

When 100% of the level skills (including exit tests) are mastered, your child is ready for more challenging skills in the next level.

Instructor schedules sometimes change, but all our instructors are highly trained. We’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences if possible.

Why aren’t goggles used in Level 1?
It’s important for beginners to feel comfortable putting their faces in the water without goggles. This helps prepare them for real-life water safety situations where goggles aren’t available.

We may combine classes to ensure a positive group environment. If the new time doesn’t work, you can move your child to a future session.
