MADDIE LARKIN HEADED TO POMONA

OCA senior Maddie Larkin is headed to Pomona College in Claremont, California next fall.  Pomona is one of the top small liberal arts colleges in the nation and has a very successful women's swimming program.

Although she had lots of opportunties to consider, Maddie descibed her choice to study and swim with the Sagehens as an easy one...

"I was drawn to Pomona College not only by the sun and promising warmth of southern California, but by the academic challenge and tight knit swim team. I can’t wait to explore my academic interests as well as continue my swimming with the energetic and team-oriented swimmers.  Being a liberal arts college, Pomona works perfectly for me because I can experiment with a variety of subjects before picking a major by the end of my sophomore year.  The swim team manages a good balance of seriousness and fun, and much like the OCA senior group, has frequent team dinners and Yogurtland runs.  I am so excited and thankful to be one of the newest members in this up-and-coming college swim program!"

Maddie will continue to lead the OCA senior program through a fun summer before heading off Southern California.  Maddie will be following OCA alum Charlotte Dhorn who is a senior team captain with Pomona's team this season.
