OCA ALUMS ROCK COLLEGE CHAMPIONSHIPS

OCA alums made a big splash across the country in the last few weeks as the college swimming championship season comes to a close.  Lauren Poli, a sophomore at NC State, led the way helping her team’s 200MR relay team to qualify for Division I NCAA Women’s Championship next week in Indianapolis.  She also had a B cut (consideration time) of 1:01.79 in the 100 Breast.  Good luck Lauren at the fastest short course meet on the planet!

Division I:

OCA alums were all over the place at last week’s Pac 12 Championships with Haley Anderson (WSU), Margo Clinton (OSU), and Rachel Godfred (UCLA) racing in the women’s meet and Zach Wagner (USC) debuting in the men’s meet.  Damon Perry and Doug Pizac helped Seattle University close out their successful season at their new conference championships.

Division III:

Knox Young (Williams College) and Jennifer Pak (Emery University) ended the season with multiple B cuts (consideration times) but just missed out on selection for Div III NCAA Champs.

Charlotte Dohrn (Pomona) and Olivia Graham (Claremont) were key contributors and rivals as team captains in their conference meet in Southern California.  While Kendra Clinton and Charlotte Graham were reunited as teammates again at the big meet for Whitman.  Sarah Petrini raced for Clark College at their conference meet in New York.

A very special congratulations to Charlotte, Margo, Rachel, Sarah, Olivia, and Charlotte!  These great young women all finished their college careers as senior team captains.  They contributed greatly to making OCA what it is today and represent the best of the sport of swimming.  See you at master’s practice next week smiley
