WEST Weekly
Good Morning West folk.
As you all know, this weekend is the First challenge meet of the season at Kamiak High School. We have received alot of questions regarding the timeline, which has not been posted yet. However, when we receive one we will send it out to all of you. Should be ready by tomorrow. Until then, here is the link to the order of events/session break up:

Morning sessions (sessions 1 and 3) will have their warm up begin at 8:00 a.m. Please try and be present by 7:45. We are guessing that the session will end sometime around 12:00 pm at which time the second session will begin warmup. However, please look at the timeline when you get it so you know for sure. As a reminder, please bring some easy to digest food for the meet for your swimmers. Chocolate milk, boost, or ensure is probably the easiest thing to drink immediately following a race, provides carbs and protein, and will help keep their energy up throughout the session. Also, plenty of water! Less gatorade.
Parent Meeting Monday, October 24th, 8:30 PM.
We thought it would be a good idea to have a parent meeting to field general questions anyone might have, specifically for some of the newer parents, regarding scrip, volunteer hours, meet questions, etc. No big deal if you cannot attend, but just wanted to give some of our newer members a chance to ask questions to better understand how everything works.
Personalized Cap Orders
Please email Nick, Jordyn or Sam by Next Tuesday, October 18th if you would like a personalized West cap with your name on it. ( Click Here for the order form). Our December championship meets are already fast approaching, and we would like to place an order soon so we make sure they are here on time.
Equipment beginning to trickle in
We have received a lot of questions as to when equipment will arrive. Paddles have arrived, and we will hand those out. Everything else should be in shortly, so hold tight.
Looking forward to a great first meet and getting back in the swing of racing.
Go West!
Sam, Nick, and Jordyn
