Good afternoon, WEST!
Hooray, the Christmas invitationals are now complete! This past weekend we had Conner McGinnis, Matt Williamson, Lauren Cooley, Brianna Lucien, Clara Cannon, Mariah Williamson, Alyssa White, Morgan Ginnis, Hannah Peseau, Maddie Pressler, Annika Matthews and Nicole Limberg compete in the Washington 15 and over Senior Championships. Aside from a strong 12th place showing, we had 4 team records broken (Conner McGinnis, 100 backstroke, Senior; Morgan Ginnis, 50 free and 100 free, Senior; Brianna Lucien, 400 IM, 13-14). Congratulations to all who competed! Complete results can be found here:

In other news, we have our WEST HOLIDAY BASH today from 6:30-9pm (no practice this afternoon for discover, explore or challenge 2)
Also, we have decided to change our morning practices this week. Rather than having our normal 5:00 a.m. practices Wednesday and Friday, we will have practice from 7-8:30 am both Wednesday and Friday for Challenge 1, 2 and Accelerate groups. Additionally, we will have normal practice times for all groups from tuesday through friday. No practice on Saturday the 24th, Sunday the 25th and Monday the 26th. We will resume our holiday schedule next week from Tuesday - Friday from 8-10 a.m. and 4-6 pm. Saturday December 31st, we will practice from 7-10 Challenge 1/2 and 7-11 Accelerate.
We realize we just finished a busy bunch of mid-season meets, but we are now heading in to one of the most important phases of training for the season. For the next three weeks, please attend as much practice as possible, it will greatly determine your success for the rest of the season. If you are leaving for the holidays, please find time to get in and swim. We will supply you with workouts if you ask!
Lastly, during this next three weeks of tough training, please read this article off the usaswimming website about recovery nutrition after practice! Don't let your training go to waste, how you treat your body outside of the pool is just as important to your success in it. http://www.usaswimming.org/ViewNewsArticle.aspx?TabId=1&itemid=4020&mid=8712
Looking forward to a great holiday season!
Sam, Nick and Jordyn
