Here we are, in the middle of another exciting week and enjoying some much appreciated sunshine. Things are busy as always at the pool, with several important updates for you all.

Front Office Reminder - Please sign in at front desk

The office staff has asked me to remind everyone to please remember to sign in at the front desk when coming by the club. Thank you, we appreciate your cooperation and continued support.

Board Meeting Recap

Last night, the board of directors met to finalize elections for our president and vice president positions. Eddie Lucien was voted president and Nermeen Mikhail was elected vice president. We would like to congratulate them both as we look forward to working with them in the near future.

Fundraising Challenge - Heat Sheet Ads!

Our fundraising department has a challenge for all the parents and members of WEST: How many heat sheet advertisements can we sell for our next two hosted meets? Ads for our February Age Group Invite need to be turned in rather soon, but it is definitely not too soon to start working on ads for Long Course Champs this summer! For more information, please contact Robin Cooley or Pam Williamson.

Note from Meet Director - Volunteer Hour Requirement Reminder

Just a reminder, we host our 2nd of 3 meets of the swim year later this month. Every family is expected to help out at each meet. Please be aware of the obligation for your family and do your part as members of the West Team. Also, please keep in mind: a financial penalty will be assessed to families that do not make their commitment. Please log into your account and sign up to volunteer.

The safety of our swimmers is of paramount importance. Within the PNS community, there is renewed emphasis on this. As a result, we will be needing to fill our deck marshal volunteer positions for the entirety of all future meets. What will the deck marshal do? He/She will patrol the pool deck ensuring that only swimmers, coaches and volunteers are on deck and that there is no horseplay, especially in the warm-up pool.
