WEST Weekly

Dear WEST families and patrons,

Here we are in another pivotal week around the pool. We are only a few weeks out from championships and about to start taper, so it's critical we start mentally preparing to swim fast. As always rest and nutrition are critical and make sure we are staying on top of schoolwork.

Presidents Day Practice Schedule

We plan to hold an amended schedule on Presidents Day (next Monday, Feb 20th). Challenge 1, 2 and Accelerate will practice 5:30 to 7:30am. There will be no practice for Discover and Explore.

Meet Director Note

We would still like to urge people to sign up to help volunteer at the WEST hosted Age Group Invite next weekend. Remember: each family has a minimum volunteer hour requirement and those that do NOT meet their minimum requirement will be penalized financially. Specifically, we still need people to help set up and break down the meet on Friday and Sunday - this is a great way to volunteer without actually having to be at the meet the entire time. Montana Travel Meet

We are trying to finalize details of our travel meet to the Firecracker Invitational in Missoula Montana from June 20th to 25th. We plan to bring swimmers from Challenge and Accelerate groups. Please email us by Wednesday February 7th so we can get an estimate on costs and finalize details.

Swim-A-Thon Letter Writing Party

Last Saturday, all the swimmers participated in our annual letter writing party to help drive donations for our annual Swim-A-Thon. Ryan Rutherford, from the Explore group was our top performer, writing 74 letters - great job!
