WEST Weekly

Nick Chevalier

Dear WEST Swimming Fanatics,

Welcome to another pivotal week here at WEST. We've got lots going on, preparing for champs, planning field trips and gearing up for the long course season.

Friday Field Trip to NCAA Championship

Make sure you have filled out the required permission slip found here:
https://www.teamunify.com/pnswca/__doc__/travel%20permission%20ncaa.pdf

Immediately following practice on Friday evening, we will be taking a group to KCAC to watch the men's NCAA championship meet. Tickets have been purchased and billed to everyone's accounts, there still may be some available for anyone that didn't reserve one with us (visit ticketmaster.com).

Dinner plans for Friday night - PLEASE PACK YOUR OWN DINNER, parents are welcome to drop these off at the pool earlier in the day on Friday.

We plan to swim practice (no dryland) from 3:30 to 5pm and leave immediately after. We anticipate returning to WEST between 9 and 10pm. Chaperones and coaches will be providing transportation, older swimmers may drive themselves with parents permission.

Age Group Regionals

Next weekend is Age Group Regionals Championship! The meet takes place Friday through Sunday at KCAC and we do have several Relay Only Swimmers so please double check when you are swimming and make sure you plan accordingly.

LC Meet Declaration Forms

Please complete and return to the office, the following Meet Declaration Form. IF WE DO NOT HAVE A FORM FOR YOU ON FILE, YOU WILL NOT BE ENTERED IN ANY MEETS THIS SUMMER. Forms are available here: https://www.teamunify.com/pnswca/__doc__/Meet%20Declaration%20-%20LC%202012.pdf

Montana Travel Meet

We have been working out the pricing for the Montana Travel Meet. Estimated cost is about $600. We are asking that anyone interested in going, please put down a $300 deposit to reserve your spot. Once we have a more definite number of people interested, we can finalize the price and release more information. So please let us know ASAP.

Spring Break - April 1st through 10th

Immediately following Age Group Regionals, we will be taking a 10-day break. We will hold optional practices April 2nd through 4th from 4-5:30pm for all groups interested in practicing (and recommend all Regional swimmers use these practices to swim-down after the meet). Normal practices will start back up April 11th.

We are really excited to see the kids race next weekend. They've put in some really hard work and we can't wait for the training to pay off. For those not swimming, this is the time of the year to fine-tune our technique in preparation for Long Course season.

Happy Swimming!

Nick, Sam, Jordyn and Rachel
