Pasco Info

The meet pool is enclosed by a chain-link fence. For those that would like to set up a canopy, the gate will be open on Thursday from 3:30 to 7pm and on Friday before 8am. Please find other WEST families so that we can pitch all of our canopies together.
Friday Dinner at Pasco

We plan to have a team dinner at the Kennewick Grill on Friday night. More info on the restaurant and menu is available here: http://kennewickcitygrill.com/images/menus/kcgmenu.pdf. Please contact [email protected] if you have questions.

Do You Wonder?
There is so much to learn in the world of swimming. This is a new feature in the WEST Weekly for parents, by parents. Each week, we’ll answer, briefly, one of those questions that come up, about swimming, watching, volunteering, meets, pools, etc. Have a question? Submit it to: [email protected].

Question #3: When we go to Pasco this month, what should we bring?

Travel meets are a great bonding experience for your swimmer. With all of the age groups together, it can be a wonderful time to bond with other WEST families. If the weather is nice, it is very fun! If it rains, it is like camping in the rain - cold and wet, but still memorable! And the kids swim, rain or shine. It's important to be prepared for anything. Because the pool is outdoors, bring sunscreen, layers of clothing, and a canopy or even a small tent. The canopy will protect from too much weather – sun or rain - and when we all put our canopies together it becomes WEST's tent city. Bring plenty of water to prevent dehydration and the usual healthy snacks. Grocery stores, a Costco, and even a mall are nearby. You will probably want lawn or beach chairs, plus extra blankets or towels. Bring a book or magazine and cards or something for everyone to do. Bring WEST spirit, pride, and your sense of adventure.

Excited to get some sun this weekend with everyone.
