Pacific Northwest Swimming Open Water Championship
Saturday, September 15, 8:00am...the shore of Angle Lake is blanketed by the uniform grey of drizzle and fog. The temperature reads 60, 8 degrees colder than the water temperature of the lake, 22 degrees lower than the climate controlled workouts at WEST. Despite this seasonal change, our athletes; Matt Williamson, Conner McGinnis, Alyssa White, Matt Creagan, Jonathan Cook, Justine Teoh and Alexis Nims showed the tenacity to enter the water, swim and compete as champions in the 1 or 2 mile course. Matt Creagan (13-14) and Jonathan Cook (11-12) are our first place finishers. Great Job Athletes!
Fall Yardsale - Saturday, Oct 6th
You can now sign up on line or at the pool to help out with the October 6 Yard Sale at WEST. To sign up on line, please sign into your WEST account then select “Events” and “job sign up”. Questions regarding this event should be directed to Krissy Davis at [email protected].

Update on Construction Projects
As many of you have noticed, WEST is under construction! We have begun our roof and side wall projects. The flat roof has been an issue for several years, and this past spring got much worse when it started to leak. The side wall had supports that rotted away so we've removed the sliding doors and will be rebuilding the wall once the new support curb finishes setting. We appreciate your patience as we continue to improve and protect WEST for generations to come.

Lesson Referrals
We want to remind everyone that we offer a $5 credit to any WEST family or member that refers a NEW family to our Lessons program. It only applies for the new person's first lessons session and the referral must be claimed within the same week the new person registers. Please speak to [email protected] with any questions.
Make sure we are eating right (and for some of us, eating enough) to coincide with the increase in training, and be sure to get adequate rest so we avoid getting sick. Happy Swimming.
