WEST Weekly

Dear WEST swimmers, members and families,

Fall is here and winter is well on its way. Things are busy as ever around the pool with Girls High School season coming to a conclusion soon and Boys season about to start. The holidays will be here before we know it and there is a lot going on between now and then.

Lock-In Recap

Last weekend our swimmers participated in the annual WEST Lock-In. We practiced 8-10pm, 1-3am and 6-8am! The kids did great and fought the fatigue! Thank you to our dads that helped chaperone: Kevin Pressler, Henry Zhang and Rusty Park!

Volunteer Requirement - Same as Last Year

To maintain consistency and ensure our hosted meets are adaquately staffed, we will keep the Volunteer Requirement the same as last year. The updated form can be found here: https://www.teamunify.com/pnswca/__doc__/2012-2013%20Vol.%20Req.%20Form.pdf.

Team Caps and Shirts

Caps have been distributed at practice, please have the swimmers let their coaches know if they did not receive them. Shirts just came in today and will be distributed soon.

WEST Holiday Hang-Out

We are tossing around the idea of doing a structured hang-out at WEST during the winter holiday school vacation. We will be holding double practices for Challenge and Accelerate groups and want to determine interest of those wanting to hang out at the pool between sessions. Please email the office.

Stay Warm, Stay Healthy, Stay On Top of School Work

It's cold season and people are getting sick left and right. Let's make sure the swimmers have dry and warm clothes after practice (winter hats are a good idea) and we are eating healthy and getting enough rest. Also, with championships approaching, lets make sure the swimmers are staying caught up on school work.

Happy Swimming,

Nick, Ken, Jordyn, Bryan and Rachel
