Welcome Back Everyone!

Hope everyone not only survived the holiday, but had a restful and happy day. We have a busy schedule this week with our traditional Holiday Training. Here is the remaining schedule for the rest of the week:

Thursday Dec 27th: Normal Explore & Discover, Acc & Ch2: 7-10am, Normal PM, Ch 1: 9-10:30am, Normal PM
Friday Dec 28th: Normal Explore & Discover, Acc & Ch2: 7-10am, Normal PM, Ch 1: 9-10:30am, Normal PM
Saturday Dec 29th: Normal Schedule, Acc: Normal AM, 1-3pm
Sunday Dec 30th: OFF
Monday Dec 31st: Accelerate 7am-11am
Tuesday Jan 1st: OFF
Wednesday Jan 2nd: Return to Normal Schedule
 
Parking Lot Traffic
 
When picking your children up, please park in an actual spot and not simply wait out front. We have had several back-ups and multiple almost-accidents. Please be considerate of other drivers and careful of pedestrians.
 
Morgan Ginnis - Thank You Letter
 
Morgan competed at Junior Nationals a few weeks ago, held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She represented WEST well, bringing the team back to the status of National Level meets. It was a great learning experience for both Morgan and I, being able to reconnect with several of my former coaches and teammates and we were able to see what the best teams in the country are doing to swim so fast. Morgan wrote a Thank You Letter to the team ( click here to read it), we are both very appreciative of WEST's support to travel and compete at this level.
 
Practices are long this week, make sure we are eating and resting enough. Heat & stretch, then ice as soon as you start getting sore to stay ahead of any issues. (Remember: only ice after workouts or after stretching, you don't want to use or stretch cold muscles! heat before/ice after is the general rule-of-thumb).
