Departure from WEST

Dear WEST,

I have had the privilege of being a part of this remarkable team for almost 7 years. During this time, I have witnessed WEST experience tremendous growth, both on an individual and organizational level. It fills me with immense pride to see how far we've come together.

After much reflection and consideration, I have decided to step down from my role here at WEST. This was not a choice made lightly and has been one of the most difficult decisions I've had to make, yet it is necessary as I embark on a new chapter of my life to focus on my health and of my family's.

Over the years, I have been inspired by the dedication and passion of everyone in our community: from our outstanding swimmers in lessons, recreation, competitive teams, and lap swim, to the incredible parents and families that work tirelessly behind the scenes at meets and team events. Their efforts have made coaching even more rewarding. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones, overcome obstacles, and created a vibrant and supportive community that I will always cherish and keep close to my heart. The camaraderie, encouragement, and shared passion for our work have made this journey incredibly special to me.

I am confident that I am leaving our team in highly capable hands with my departure. We have an exceptional team of coaches and staff members who are passionate about the success of this organization in the pursuit of excellence. I have no doubt that they will continue to strive for greater goals in and out of the water. I am incredibly grateful to Nick, who gave me the opportunity to join WEST in the first place and took a chance on a newly graduated college ‘swam-mer’. His years of guidance and support have been invaluable in shaping me into the person I am today.

In the upcoming weeks, I will work diligently to ensure my departure is smooth and that all duties are adequately covered by my colleagues.

Finally, thank you to everyone in the WEST community for being such an amazing part of my life for so many years. It's been an incredible journey, and I wouldn't have wanted to experience it with anyone else. WEST will forever hold a special place in my heart and soul, and I wish you all the best in the future.
