AWARDS
Ribbons will be given for all heats in dual swim meets. Awards for larger meets may vary and are the responsibility of the host club.
Swimmers who do not receive their awards during the swim meet will receive awards as soon as possible at a practice. Check your file folder mailbox at practice the next day.
AWARDS EVENING
Awards evenings will be held to recognize all of the swimmers, prepers and divers for their hard work. The swim team generally has a banquet and the dive and prep team usually has an ice cream social. Each member will receive an award completing the season and special awards will be given to deserving athletes. Look for information about signing up to be emailed out as the end of season approaches.
COMMUNICATION
Our main line of communication is through email. Parents and swimmers are encouraged to check email OFTEN for important information concerning the swim team and swim team schedules. Weather communications and other timely information will be sent via Remind text alerts. See the links at the bottom of the "Registration" tab to signup for text alerts. Emails are automatically signed up when you register. You can add secondary accounts if you want to. Each family also has a file folder at the pool where ribbons may be placed after meets.
PRACTICE SCHEDULES
Swim Morning Practices:
7:45 - 8:45 for 10 and under groups
8:45 - 9:45 for 11-12 age group
9:45-10:45 for 13 and over groups.
Prep practices will be 8:45-9:25, 9:25-10:05 or 10:05-10:45am and divided by athlete last name.
Dive: Three sessions running from 7:45-10:45. Specific times and age groups are assigned by the coaches.
SPECTATORS AND FANS
Attendance by family members, friends and relatives is encouraged and usually no admission fee is required at any of the meets (except for the City Championship). Seating is a minimum at most pools and usually not adequate, therefore you are encouraged to bring your own chairs. Concessions are available at most pools, and help to financially support the home team.
SPIRIT WEEK
Spirit Week is the week leading up to the respective City Championship. There are many fun activities scheduled throughout the week. These activities include all swimmers and divers, whether or not they are signed up to swim or dive in the City Meets. All team members and their families are invited to Family Fun Night and the Awards Evenings.
