Who Are We?

The Pincher Creek Dolphins Swim Club was founded in the summer of 1961, one year after the town’s first swimming pool opened. Pool Supervisor Max Gibb, was the first Head Coach. In 1961, Max helped organize our southern zone to affiliate with the Alberta Summer Swimming Association, with the first Regional meet held in Lethbridge.

Dolphin Philosophy

The Pincher Creek Dolphins Swim Club was established to provide the opportunity for participation and sportsmanship, as well as athletic and personal character development. Swimmers are given the opportunity to compete at regional and provincial levels. We are a summer club, operating from May to June for Mini and Junior Dolphins, and continuing July to mid-August for intermediate and senior swimmers.
