Tory Reynolds has been swimming competitively since the age of 10 and then has had a deep passion for the sport. Currently, Tory is swimming on the collegiate level at Frostburg State University. During his freshman year, Tory broke the 200 Free Relay record and has the 7th fastest 50 Free in Frostburg States’ history. Tory studies English Education with his sights set on becoming a secondary school English teacher. Tory grew up swimming on Brandywine Blue Wave and is excited to coach again this summer! He will bring fun exciting energy to the team this season while also giving back all the knowledge he has learned at Frostburg.    

 

Amy Gastright Email

Taking the mantle from older brother John, Amy Gastright will coach the Blue Wave alongside Tory Reynolds. Amy started her swim career at just four years old, and has competed at high levels on multiple national level club teams since then. Her specialty events include butterfly, breaststroke, and the individual medley. Amy has competed in and placed highly in numerous championship meets, such as the Junior Olympic Championships, IMX Championships, Junior Championships, and the Winter Classic Championship (Arlington Aquatic Club, Potomac Marlins), Divisionals and All Stars (Brandywine Blue Wave), and the ISL Conference Championships and VISAA State Championships (St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School). Amy placed eighth in the state of Virginia in the 2020 VISAA State Championship and was the overall top swimmer at the 2019 Mako Holiday Invitational Championship Meet.

Amy is currently a student athlete at The Catholic University of America, where she studies French and English Literature, and plays varsity softball. She is also a cadet in the Georgetown Battalion Army ROTC.
