Madilyn Renz

2023 Kate Brown Memorial Scholarship Winner

Madilyn Renz has been a member of the Dublin Dolphins for 9 years.  While a swimmer, she won Coaches Choice in 2016 and Most Improved in 2019.  She served as an assistant volunteer coach in 2021 and assistant coach in 2022.  This is what she says about coaching:

“Through coaching, I’ve surrounded myself with amazing role models who helped me grow into a leader. I learned to be assertive and professional when talking to parents and to support my swimmers when things didn’t go their way. My swimmers helped me mature and take on greater responsibility. They also gave me a chance to relive my childhood before applying to college and becoming a young adult. I am honored to have had the opportunity to continue the legacy of helping young children find a passion for competitive swimming, just as others did for me when I was eight years old.”
