Hello Barracudas!

My name is Richard Scott Seibel, and I have the privilege of being The Head Coach for the Fairwood Barracudas. I am a student at the University of Colorado Boulder, Majoring in Secondary Education and Political Science, along with minoring in Leadership Studies. I’ve been working at Fairwood for the past five years, first as a Coach and then as a Lifeguard. I have been swimming since I could walk, and this team has been a part of my life since I was a Bitty Barracuda. As I take on this new role, I can’t help but reflect on my time here. This team has such a positive impact on everyone who interacts with it, and as we grow as a program, it’s important to remember that the beautiful community we have is the heart of the Barracudas Swim Team. The “Fairwood Family” is the heart of this team, and it’s my top priority to make sure that everyone who joins us has a great experience. My vision for this upcoming season is Program Consistency, Healthy Communication, and as much Fun as we can cram into the summer, all while fostering an environment where swimmers of all levels feel Supported, Challenged, and Inspired to reach their full potential!
