Alex Beam
Head Swim Coach

Hi everyone! My name is Alex and I am so excited to be joining the Waves this summer! A little bit about me — I am a 2024 UW-Madison grad with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I have been involved in the Madison swimming scene for the past several years, both as a coach and an official. I grew up swimming for the Blair Blue Dolphins every summer, and I have such fond memories with those teammates. I can’t wait to make more memories with y’all this summer! 
   

Rian Wells
Head Dive Coach

Hi, my name is Rian and I will be the new head dive coach! I am so excited to be part of the Goodman Waves this coming summer! I have been apart of the All-City dive league for the past 8 years and was a competitor for 7 of those. I enjoy teaching others about a sport I grew to love from this summer league! I’m currently going into my junior year at Michigan State University studying engineering. I can’t wait to start and meet a bunch of new faces!
   

Ellie Kohlhepp
Assistant Swim Coach

Hey everyone! My name is Ellie and I am so excited to work with you all this season! I am going into my senior year at the University of Minnesota, studying genetics. This will be my fourth summer coaching the Waves and I swam with the team for 7 years prior—the last year being my first year coaching. I am studying abroad in Scandinavia for half of the season but I couldn’t imagine a summer with this team, even if just a few weeks, and I can’t wait to get back to the pool!

My name is Ben Connor, and I attend Madison college and am undecided. I have been swimming for around 14 years and I’m super excited to be coaching the waves this year!
   

Charlotte Thomas

Hi everyone! My name is Charlotte and I’m so excited to be coaching the Waves this year. I just finished my first year at UW-Madison and am studying Biomedical Engineering. I been swimming since I was seven and was in the All City league every summer. I swam my last three years on the Waves and loved it! I look forward to a great season and summer.

Assistant Swim Coach

Hi, I’m coach Aj! I have been involved in All City for 16 years. This is my first year coaching and I am excited to have it be with the Waves, who I swam for.
   

Fiona Wong
Assistant Swim Coach

Hi, my name is Fiona! I have been swimming with the Waves for about 10 years and am so excited to coach this summer! Over the years, I have also swum competitively with Badger Aquatics Club and West High School. The Waves and swimming have been such an important part of my life, and I can’t wait to share my enthusiasm for the sport with all the swimmers!

Hi my name is Moira and I’ll be assistant coaching for Goodman this year! I’ve swam for Goodman for almost ten years and I’m very excited to coach all of you this season.
