Alex Beam
Head Swim Coach

Hi everyone! My name is Alex and I am the Head Swim Coach of the Goodman Waves! A little bit about me — I am a 2024 UW-Madison grad with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I have been involved in the Madison swimming scene for the past several years, both as a coach and an official. I grew up swimming for the Blair Blue Dolphins every summer, and I have such fond memories with those teammates. I can’t wait to make more memories with y’all this summer! 
   

Rian Wells
Head Dive Coach

Hi, my name is Rian and I am the Head Dive Coach of the Goodman Waves! I have been apart of the All-City dive league for the past 8 years and was a competitor for 7 of those. I enjoy teaching others about a sport I grew to love from this summer league! I’m currently attending Michigan State University and studying engineering. I can’t wait to return to the pool this summer!
   

Ellie Kohlhepp
Assistant Swim Coach

Hey everyone, I’m Coach Ellie and this is my eleventh summer with the Waves and fifth summer coaching! I just graduated from the University of Minnesota and I’m excited to be back in Madison for the next year. Let’s get to swimming, it’s gonna be a great summer!
 
   

Ben Connor
Assistant Swim Coach

My name is Ben Connor, and I attend Madison college and am undecided. I have been swimming for around 14 years and I’m super excited to be coaching the waves this year!
   

Matt Sorg
Assistant Swim Coach

Hi, my name is Matt Sorg. This is my first year coaching the Waves and I look forward to sharing it with all of you. I am currently a student at the UNiversity of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where I am studying Entrepreneurship with a minor in Coaching. I have been swimming for 8 years now with extensive experience on a multitude of teams including UW Whitewater, Stoughton Aqua Racers, Madison Aquatic Club, Stoughton High School, and of course, the Goodman Waves. I am very excited to be a part of this team and I am looking forward to an amazing summer!
   

Ilan Rabinowitz
Assistant Dive Coach

Hi, my name is Ilan, and I will be the assistant dive coach for the Waves this year! I will be a senior at Madison West high school this fall. I have been on the Waves 12 years, 8 of them as a diver, and I also dive for the Madison West high school team. I am really excited to see everyone this season!
   

Fiona Wong
Junior Swim Coach

Hi, my name is Fiona! I have been swimming with the Waves for 11 years and am so excited to coach this summer! Over the years, I have swum competitively with Badger Aquatics Club and West High School. When I'm not in the pool, you can find me playing a lot of Ultimate Frisbee. The Waves and swimming have been such an important part of my life, and I can’t wait to share my enthusiasm for the sport with all the swimmers!

Hi my name is Moira and I’ll be coaching for Goodman this year! I’ve swam for Goodman for almost ten years and I’m very excited to coach all of you this season.
