What a great and fun way to close out the home dual meet season this Saturday. Thanks to all those that made the kids day by participating in the parents relay. Only two short weeks left before All-City week!

SWIM MEET: Saturday, July 22 @ Home @ Middleton
GOODMAN ALL CITY CAPS: There is a tradition in the All City league to have special swim caps for the All City meet. Keeping with that tradition, we have unique All City caps for all Waves, even if you are not competing at All City. Come see Tammy and Becky in the Cabana area on Wednesday July 19th from 9-11:30am to get yours. This is a fun tradition, and a way to show our Goodman pride as 2023 hosts, but it is not mandatory. Athletes are not required to wear them.
END OF YEAR PARTY: Come one, come all! The end of the season party is for all swimmers, divers and their families! This will be a great moment to celebrate hosting our first All City Swim Meet and all the accomplishments of the swimmers and divers throughout the year! Pizza will be provided by the Friends of the Goodman Waves. BYOB and a snack/dessert to share (Last names A-M savory, N-Z sweet). The pool will be open so bring your suit to make a splash with your Waves pals and coaches! CONTINUING REMINDERS
COACHES GIFT: Each year we show some additional appreciation for our coaches, both swim and dive, by collecting donations to split among them. If you would like to donate, please drop cash to Shannon Leumann or venmo Andy Leumann at @Andrew-Luehmann (digits 3273). We’ll collect donations through July 26.
PLANNING FOR ALL CITY: All City is the season culminating event and if you haven’t heard enough about it already, it is SO much fun! Below is a quick breakdown of when kids swim so you can plan accordingly.
- ALL CITY DIVE (July 24-25): All City Dive is a prelims/finals meet. All divers will perform their first 3 (10 & Under) or 4 (11 & Up) dives.After a short break, the top 16 divers then perform their final 2 dives to determine awards.
- MONDAY: 13-14s and 11-12s
- TUESDAY: 10 & Under and 15-18s
- ALL CITY SWIM (July 27-29): All City Swim is a prelims/finals meet for individuals, meaning all swimmers will swim their events in prelims on Thursday or Friday and the top 16 times will swim again on Saturday for final awards. All relays are time finals.
- THURSDAY: Kids 11 and older swim their individual prelims.
- FRIDAY: Kids 10 and unders swim their individual prelims. 8 & Unders also swim their relays.
- SATURDAY: All relays, both medley and free, for swimmers 9 and over will complete plus any individuals that finished in the top 16 of their individual events on prelims.

RACE SPONSORSHIP : Another way to give a shout out to your swimmer! Purchase a sponsorship for their favorite event and hear the announcers make a special acknowledgement. Have your swimmer send to family and friends and hear their loved ones' names announced at the meet! This is a quick and easy way to fundraise for our team. All net proceeds go to our team!
