Jon Jung Head Swim Coach

Coach Jon started working at Hawks Landing in 2009.  he grew up on the west side of Madison, and swam and Ridgewood, the YMCA, and one year at Madison Memorial.  He is currently a first grade teacher and Stpehens Elementary in Madison and also coaches for Badger Aquatics Club!  When Jon is not at the pool, her spends his time playing disc golf, working on projects at home, and spending time with his dog, Brody.  Jon has enjoyed all of his years at Hawks, and is looking forward to another summer!

Gianna Gnewuch Swim Coach (9-10, 8 & Unders)

This will be Gianna's second summer coaching at Hawks!  She has been club swimming the past 11 years.  This year, Gianna graduated from Verona Area High School where she was a varsity swimmer.  This fall, she will be attending UW-Whitewater and will be part of the swim team.  Gianna is excited for the upcoming season!

 
Julia Beam Swim Coach (11-12,9-10)

This is Julia’s second summer coaching at Hawks! She grew up swimming in Black River Falls for Northern Lakes Aquatics Club. Throughout the year Julia coaches age group swimmers at Badger Aquatics Club. Additionally, in the Fall of 2022 she was the assistant swim coach for the Edgewood girls team. Julia recently finished her third year at UW-Madison where she is studying Kinesiology with a certificate in Athletic Healthcare. She is super excited to be back for her second summer at Hawks!

MiKayla Ott Dive Coach

This will be MiKayla’s first summer coaching for Hawks. She’s been diving for hawks for 7 years going on 8. MiKayla will be graduating from Verona Area High School this year after finishing her senior year and will be attending UW Madison in the fall and majoring in consumer behavior and marketplace studies. MiKayla also enjoys playing volleyball and was a part of the Verona Volleyball program for 4 years and was captain her senior year. She also enjoys reading, baking, and anything outdoors. MiKayla’s favorite dive is a reverse dive straight and she is very excited to be coaching this year and is looking forward to a fun summer!

Isabella Gnewuch Swim Coach

This is Isabella's first year coaching at Hawks.  She is a 2024 graduate of Verona Area High School and a State qualifier all 3 years that she was on the women's swim team.  Isabella has swam for Hawks since she was 5 years old and also swim competitively for Madison Aquatic Club.  In the fall, she will be attending South Dakota State University and be a member of the Women's Swim and Dive team.  She is very excited to coach this upcoming season!

Maya Stegner Swim Coach

This is my first year coaching at Hawks. I swam in the All City League for 13 years. I graduated from Madison Memorial High School in 2024, where I swam for 3 years and was a senior captain. I also swam at Badger Aquatic Club for a few years. I am now studying Communication Arts at UW-Madison, and I am a part of the UW Swim Club. I am excited to start coaching this year!

Skyler Endres Swim Coach

This is Skylers first year coaching at Hawks!  She swam in the All City League for 12 years, and starting swimming for Hawks when she was 7.  Skyler graduated from Middleton High School in 2024, where she swam for 4 years and was a captain her senior year.  She now attends UW LaCrosse, studying nuclear medicine, and is currently on the UW LaCrosse swim club.  Skyler is excited to be back and start coaching at Hawks this summer!

Dana Huggett Head Dive Coach

This is Dana’s fifth summer coaching at Hawks after competing with the team for 11 seasons! Along with diving at Hawks, she dove for Middleton High School for 4 years. Dana recently graduated from Ripon College where she is majoring in Sociology with minors in Criminal Justice, Communication, and Women and Gender Studies. Her favorite dive is a back dive straight, which has been her favorite dive since she was 9 years old! When she isn’t at Hawks, Dana enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, going fishing, and doing art projects. Dana is super excited to be returning as a coach again this year and looks forward to seeing the team have fun and improve throughout the season! 

Sophie Reed Swim Coach (8 & Under)

This will be Sophie's first summer coaching at Hawks in the summer of 2023. She has been swimming competitively for Madison Aquatic Club since the age of 10 and for Hawks the last few years. This year she graduated from Edgewood High School where she swam on the state team all 4 years. This fall she plans to continue her academic and athletic career at Boston College. She cannot wait for the upcoming season with Hawks!
