Save the Dates: 2026 Dolphins Season
Dear Dolphin Families –
Next year is the 50th anniversary of the Dolphins! We have some really fun things in the works for all of our families and wanted to get on your calendar sooner rather than later.
As announced at last night’s banquet, we are moving to Division I (hooray!), and are slated to swim against a few old friends and a couple of new teams: Poolesville, Quince Orchard, Washingtonian Woods, Carderock Springs and Inverness.
Below is the draft 2026 season calendar for our swim meets. The calendar for our social events to come later!!
2026 Season Meet Calendar (Preliminary)
- First Day of Afternoon Practice: Tuesday, May 26, 2026
- Time Trials: Saturday, June 6, 2026 HOME
- Week 1B Meet: Wednesday, June 10, 2026 AWAY vs. Little Falls
- Week 1A Meet: Saturday, June 13, 2026 AWAY vs. INVERNESS
- Week 2B Meet: Wednesday, June 17, 2026 HOME vs. Seven Locks
- Morning Practices Start: Thursday, June 18, 2026
- Minis First Day of Practice: Thursday, June 18, 2026
- Week 2A Meet: Saturday, June 20, 2026 HOME vs. POOLESVILLE. THIS IS OUR ALUMNI MEET!
- Week 3B Meet: Wednesday, June 24, 2026 HOME vs. Bethesda
- Week 3A Meet: Saturday, June 27, 2026 HOME vs. CARDEROCK SPRINGS
- Relay Carnival: Sunday June 28, 2026***
- Week 4B Meet: Wednesday, July 1, 2026 AWAY vs. Bannockburn
- Week 4A Meet: Saturday, July 4, 2026: AWAY vs. QUINCE ORCHARD (note: could move to Friday, July 3 or Sunday, July 5 if both teams agree)
- Week 5B Meet: Wednesday, July 8, 2026 HOME vs. Carderock
- Week 5A Meet: Saturday, July 11, 2026: HOME vs. WASHINGTONIAN WOODS. OUR SENIOR TRIBUTE MEET!
- Week 6B Meet: Wednesday, July 15, 2025 AWAY vs. Mohican
- Divisionals: Saturday, July 18, 2026
- All-Stars: Saturday, July 25 & Sunday, July 26, 2026
*** This is the most likely date for Relay Carnival but it could also be either June 21 or July 5 depending on the host pool’s availability.
Please keep us in mind as you make your camp and vacation plans – the Dolphins need you!
Boys Camp and Girls Camp Will Be Back
If you are looking for a camp to coordinate with the summer swim schedule, look no further than our amazing Boys and Girls Camps. Both camps will be running again next summer. Volunteers Wanted
If you are interested in taking on a bigger volunteer role next season, don’t be shy! We would love to have you. Please email Gayle at [email protected]. We are especially looking for parents who might want to help coordinate some of our social events (think: pasta potluck, laser tag, or any of the new ideas the kids come up with!)

Look out for an email from the coaches about opportunities to stay in the water during the off-season. There are options for swimmers at all commitment levels.
