THE 2025 SWIM SEASON IS HERE!!! Practice starts this year on May 20 with evening practices only for Week 1. Morning and evening practices will begin May 27. The Windyke Swim Team is a recreational team that competes against other local area country clubs in a fun, non-stressful environment. Swimmers of all skill levels, from the novice to the expert are welcomed. Our coach's mission is to help your child develop proper stroke technique and foster a love for the sport of swimming. Swimmers MUST be able to swim one lap (25 yards) unassisted and have a willingness to float on back and try other strokes when instructed. There will be a swim test after the first two weeks of practce to assess these skills, and if a swimmer is unable to do so after two weeks of practice, he/she will not be able to swim with the team this summer. All swimmers must be a Windyke member in good standing or a grandchild of a Windyke member in good standing. For children of members, registration opens March 1. For grandchildren of members, registration begins March 15. Registration will close May 15 or sooner if we are at max capacity, so please register ASAP!

Fees: $220 for first child in family, $380 for two children, $530 for three children, and $140 for each additional child from the same family. For members of a USA year-round competitive swim club, as they won't be utilizing coaches as often, the fee is $135. You must send an email to [email protected] for the year-round swimmer discount to be noted for your account. There is a $35 non-refundable deposit for all who register for swim team. Registration closes May 15, and you must be registered to attend the first practice on May 20. **Fees include all meets, team t-shirt for the swimmer, swim cap, coaches' salaries, ribbons, end-of-season awards, MSSL dues, city meet dues, printing, and other miscellaneous expenses. There will be NO registrations allowed after May 15. If you have registered for the swim team and decide for whatever reason your child will not be swimming this summer, you must submit a written cancellation of swim team membership and request for refund (minus the non-refundable deposit) to the Swim Board President ([email protected]). Refunds will NOT be considered after May 28.

Evenings: M-Th: 6:00- 7:00 Ages 8&under, 6:00-7:15 Ages 9&Up – Evening practices are not held the evenings that swim meets occur  

**All 8&Under children must have a parent or guardian at the pool during practices and meets. This helps to maintain the pace of practice if an issue should arise. Because of the number of registrants in this category this year, we also ask that 8&Under children attend only one practice each day due to pool space and coaching availability.
