Coaches and Directors
Hello Gators!
My name is Andi and I am so excited to be back for yet again a fun-filled summer! I am one of the head coaches and specifically lead the mighty 8 and unders. I have been an 8 and under coach for 16 (I think...) years. I have been a part of the All-City League for what seems like forever, okay more like 30 years. When I am not on the pool deck getting to work with all the amazing athletes and families, I am a full-time Middle School Math Teacher in Madison. I just recently finished my Master's degree and I am so looking forward to a summer of no schoolwork or homework! I can't imagine spending a summer doing anything else than being on deck and seeing all the amazing things that the All-City League provides swimmers. See you all in the pool or on deck soon!
Hi Everyone! My name is Alex and I am the head coach for the dive team. I did swimming and diving for nine years with the Gators. I'm just finishing my first year at UW-La Crosse, and am a member of their swim & dive team. When I'm not in the pool, I like playing basketball and hiking. I'm excited to get back in the water, and look forward to having a fun season with the dive team! Go Gators!
Hi! My name is RJ. People call me RJ (sounds like "urge"). I am super excited to be back to coach Gators! I graduated from Middleton High School in 2012 and from the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities in 2016 with a degree in civil engineering. Outside of the pool I enjoy playing/watching sports, playing the piano, reading, and watching movies.
Hey Gators, get those caps and goggles out because it's time for All-City Season!! I am beyond excited to return to the pool for another fantastic summer with my Gator family. This will be my 6th year coaching and I am thrilled to be heading up the 11/12 age group again this season.
I swam with the Gators for 9 years, and the Middleton HS Cardinals for 4 years before continuing my swim career on the UWL Swim and Dive Team for 2.5 years, and now I'm coaching! Coaching has been so rewarding as it showed me just how much I adore teaching. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a major in Elementary/Middle School Education and a minor in Nutrition in December and will be entering my first year of teaching this fall. I am excited to be permanently back in the beautiful Madison area as I recently moved to Verona in May!
Outside of school and the pool I have a big passion for lifting/working out; I will be completing my first sprint triathlon in June:), listening to country music, reading, and traveling. I hope you all are as excited as I am as we get ready to start the 2025 season, and I can't wait to see all your smiling faces on deck. As always, Go Gators!
Hi Gators and families! My name is Natalie Charles and I am thrilled to be coaching again this year! This will be my fifth year as a coach for the Gators, and I am so excited to be the lead 13-14 coach! I graduated from Middleton High School in 2023, where I swam for four years, and I swam with the Gators for 12 years. I just finished my second year at the University of Idaho, where I am studying Architecture and also on the swim and dive team (where I've been swimming a lot of breaststroke and IM)! Outside of the pool, I enjoy reading, hiking, and listening to music. I am beyond excited to get to know everyone and have such a fun summer back on the pool deck! Let's go Gator Nation!!
Hey all! I am thrilled to be coaching Gators for the first time. I have recently graduated from UW-Madison where I completed 3 degrees (Biology, Spanish, and French) in my 4 years as a student-athlete on the varsity rowing team. I have been involved in swimming my entire life and coached for the past 4 years, currently at Badger Aquatic Club. When I’m not on a pool deck, I enjoy spending time outdoors, watching movies, and reading. I also love animals and I have 2 crazy cats, a turtle, and a big goldfish!
Hi Gators, I'm Brynn! This will be my tenth year swimming with Gators and my third year coaching. I also swim for Madison Aquatic Club and just finished my sophomore year at Middleton High School that included being a part of the back-to-back State Champion Girls Swim & Dive Team! I also enjoy cooking, reading and spending time with friends. I am looking forward to a great summer on deck and in the pool. Go Gators!
Hi everybody! I'm Grace and this will be my eleventh year swimming for Gators and my second year coaching. I'm finishing my sophomore year at Edgewood High School, and I swim for Verona Area Swim Team. Alongside swimming all the time, I love the beach, traveling, studying science, reading, and being with my family, which includes my older sister Natalie, the head 13-14 coach. I'm so excited to return as a coach and get back in the pool this year! I'll see you all on the deck!
Hey everyone! My name is Zoey, and this will be my seventh year swimming with the Gators and my first year coaching. I am finishing up my freshman year of high school, and this was my first year swimming for Middleton High School. I also swim for the Badger Aquatics Club. I cannot wait to coach this summer. See you all on deck soon!
Hello Gators! My name is Henry and I am excited to coach 10-and-unders this summer! I have been swimming for nine years and volunteer coaching for the past two years. I will be a senior at Middleton High School this year, where I am captain of the Cross Country and the (three-peat state champs!) Swim and Dive team—as well as a member of the Track and Field team. When I'm not swimming or coaching, I’m often running, lifting weights, reading, or spending time with my wonderful family. I have so many fond memories of Gators and hope to make many more together this summer! See you on the pool deck!
Hi everyone! My name is Benya Vavilov and this will be my ninth year swimming and my first year coaching for the Gators. I swim club for BAC and recently finished my sophomore season with the back-to-back-to-back Middleton High School Cardinals! Outside of the water, I enjoy golf, play pickle ball, watch movies, travel and spend time with friends. I am looking forward to a great summer at the pool. Go Gators!
