Saturday, June 25th @ Holly Pool against the Clarke Farms Tsunamis.

Meet start time: 7:30 a.m.

Warm ups:

Holly Park:  6:25-6:50 a.m.

Clark Farms: 6:55-7:20 a.m.

Be sure to complete your commitment for the meet by today!

MEET INFORMATION: TROPICAL THEME

Come early to get good parking/tent set up space.  Holly Park families will be setting up on the East side of the pool (the hill) and the visiting team on the west side. Reminder - swimmers check in with your coaches upon arrival and come dressed in your favorite tropical attire!

Meet Program:  Please watch for Coach Ryan’s email on Friday evening with the program for the meet and other information. Make sure to print yourself a copy and mark your kids' events on their arm or leg.

Important Reminders: Please remember to bring sunscreen, multiple towels, blankets, sweatshirts, sweatpants, sharpies, umbrellas/tents, and anything to help keep kids entertained between races. Please DO NOT bring any type of water guns etc. This entices the kids to get close to the leisure pool which is both unsafe and not allowed. All baby/leisure pools are closed and/or roped off. Please respect that at all pools. Other ideas include card games, LEGOS, etc. One helpful request of our Heating coordinators and Timers – please label the younger kids name and age on the back of their shoulder.

Volunteers: Please look for the Volunteer Check-in Table at the South East corner of the pool. Dannie Greenleaf, the Volunteer Coordinator, will be there with a sheet to check your attendance and give you a lanyard.  Both shifts need to check in with Dannie no later than 7:30 am.  We will have brief information meetings for Stroke and Turn Officials as well as Timers at the south end of the pool around 7:15 am.  Please listen for announcements.

Heating: The heating area will be under the large green slide at the southwest corner of the pool.  This is where the kids will go to line up for their event when the time approaches.  Remember to keep an eye out for the Event and Heating numbers that will be hanging on the wall on the North side of the pool.

Concessions:  Our concessions team will be serving coffee and breakfast burritos around 7:00 am.  There will be lots of other breakfast and snack items including breakfast burritos, donuts, cup-o-noodles, chips, hot chocolate, candy and a variety of cold drinks.  For lunch we will be offering Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets.

ADDITIONAL NEWSLETTER INFORMATION:

RIBBONS:

Look for your ribbons and speeding tickets in the boxes/file folders under the awning on the tables this week!

FUNDRAISER:

Our Annual Swim-a-Thon is this Wednesday June 22nd in lieu of evening practice from 5-7 p.m. and food will be provided for the swimmers and volunteers. The Swim-A-Thon is a standing tradition for our team and over the last nine years, we have donated a percentage of our proceeds to a different charity. Swimmers collect flat rate or per lap donations ahead of time and then swim as many laps as they can. This year we will have this event in lieu of an evening practice. I have linked the Fundraiser Document here  if you would like to start collecting your donations early.  We will be raising money for Reach out and Read Colorado.  Also, please bring gently used books you would like to donate to the cause. This will also be coordinated with one of our swimmers Eagle Scout Project. More information from our Eagle Scout is linked HERE. Please attend/decline whether you will be participating in the swim-a-thon just like with a swim meet. It will help us plan for food.

PICTURE DAY

VOLUNTEER SHIFT SIGN UPS -

We are still in need of volunteers for the swim-a-thon and for this weeks’ home meet so please sign up! We need everyone’s help to make both of these events a success. Remember if you are only practicing and not attending meets, the volunteer requirement still applies. Please reach out to Dannie Greenleaf and she will work with you on other options so you can still get your shifts in. You can also email her at [email protected]

BOOSTER & VOLUNTEER CHECKS -

Thank you to everyone who has paid their booster and volunteer fees! We appreciate your efforts in getting these to us. Our treasurer, Julie Burngardt will continue to reach out to you as needed to answer questions and to collect any remaining dues. You may bring checks to the pool and give to any board member or venmo. Please reach out with any questions to Patty Kreinbrink or Shannon Parish, Co-Parent Delegates or Julie Brungardt, our Treasurer ([email protected] or [email protected]
