It's Shark Season!

Hello all Amazing Shark Families!!

We can't believe swim season is just around the corner!! The good news is that we have been working for a couple months already and are a little ahead of the game this year! We have some important dates and links for you, so please read all of the information below. 

1. Registration for Holly Park Sharks opened through South Suburban on April 11th. Please note that registration is a two-step process. 

First, you need to register through South Suburban https://register.ssprd.org/CO/south-suburban-parks-rec/catalog Course 299005

Second, you will need to register at our Holly Park Sharks Team Unify website

Our Booster Fee is $25 and can be paid by check during the parent meetings, the first week of practice or by Venmo (@HollyParkSharksCO)  Be sure to include your swimmer’s name(s) so they get credit.  We will be holding a $200 check from each family just as we have done in the past.  When you fulfill your four volunteer shifts, we shred the check!  This is also payable at the parent meetings or the first week of practice.  

2. The first Out of Breath (OOB) ordering store is open and will be open through May 7th.  This is where you get all that great Shark gear including t-shirts, tank tops, pants, and hats!  This is also where you buy your swimmer their team suit. Team suits aren’t mandatory for meets.  Suits are the same style as last year but a different brand.  Therefore, if you are purchasing a new suit, it is critical you try it on!  Suit fittings will be available at the parent meetings and at the OOB store.  The store is located at a new location: 311 E County Line Road Suite A6, Littleton, CO 80122, and is open Mon from 10am to 5pm, Tue-Fri from 10am to 5:30pm, Saturday from 10am-2pm, and is closed on Sunday. 3. The parent meetings at Goodson Rec Center will be as follows:

Wednesday April 19th at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday April 22th at 10:00 am.

Just ask the front desk for the room when you arrive.

***You can bring your booster fee check and your volunteer check as well. We have a Venmo account (@HollyParkSharksCO) as an option to pay booster fees, but will still need a volunteer check which will be shredded at the end of the season if you fulfill your volunteer requirements.

***Monica with Out of Breath Sports will be at these meetings as well for you to try on suits, but remember that first orders will go through May 7th so you may want to go to OOB asap to try on and get your orders in now. 

4. We are in need of a Clerk of Course (Clerk of Course runs heating with other volunteers). This is an important position and will fulfill all volunteer requirements for your family for the season (we have 3 home meets…so you get 3 shifts instead of the normal 4!!) There is a mandatory, virtual training through Mountain High Swim League on April 20th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Please let us know if you are interested and we will get you all the needed information!

On a side note, if you know of any kids that may enjoy summer swim, please tell their parents about the parent meetings.  We love to welcome new little sharks and their families to the community!
