Important Info About Prelims

It is time to declare your swimmers for Prelims! Declarations are due SUNDAY, JUNE 29 at midnight.

Haven't done Prelims before? Here's an introduction: Prelims are held to determine which swimmers qualify to compete in the Championship meet on July 12. The swimmers with the top 16 times in each event qualify! Prelims are slightly different than dual meets:

  • No relay events
  • All six teams in our division participate
  • Held on weekdays
  • Held on 2 days split by age group
  • Typically shorter than regular dual meets

When you declare your swimmer for Prelims, make sure you pick the right day!

  • Day 1 - Tuesday, July 8 @ Wildcat Ridge: ages 9-10 and 11-12
  • Day 2 - Wednesday, July 9 @ Castle Pines: ages 8U, 13-14, and 15-18

Once again, the declaration deadline is SUNDAY, JUNE 29 at midnight. The timeline for organizing Prelims is tight - there are six teams that get entered into one huge meet program. Please be respectful of the scoring volunteers' time and declare your swimmer by the deadline, as it is difficult to add swimmers late because of the coordination complexity.

All six teams in our division are assigned volunteer requirements for Prelims and Champs - please check the job signups, which are now open!

If you're interested, you can order Champs t-shirts online (until midnight tomorrow) or purchase at Prelims (cash or check).
