Welcome to the Palomar Piranhas Swim Team! Competitive summer swimming is fun, keeps your child active, provides some structure to the summer and promotes a lifelong love of swimming. Parental support is critical for a productive summer.

Volunteer Requirement

The board is so appreciative of every parent and volunteer that gives their time to make this the best part of our kids' summer, so we have modified how volunteer registration will work in hopes that this will make it easier on our families. If you volunteer to work as a Timer, Clerk of Course, Deck Security, or Away Meet Scorekeeper this year you will only need to work two swim meets this summer.

We will open up registration for those duties in an early bird opportunity to volunteer sign up. The remaining jobs will still be available for volunteer registrations but after the majority of these essential jobs have been filled. Those remaining jobs will still require families to work three regular season meets.

Please see https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/recmowpp/page/parents/volunteer for a full description of the new policy and the available positions you can be involved in.

To ensure volunteer credit is applied to your family's account, no one may sign up for a job for another family/volunteer or they will not receive credit. You must register for your shifts, in your name and sign in at check-in.

We are looking for a Clean Up Coordinator and are always in search of Stroke and Turn Officials if you are interested this would fully satisfy your volunteer requirement – please contact the board at [email protected]

Code of Conduct

We require all parents and swimmers to sign a code of conduct annually. This code of conduct outlines the coaches' expectations for a fun and productive summer. Please go over the Swimmer Code of Conduct with your child. It is important that he/she understand the rules and expectations. All signed codes of conduct were signed through the registration process and included in the "Documents" tab above for reference.

The cost of the boys’ suits are generally $32-36. There will be a suit fitting day at the clubhouse in April - will notify of exact date when confirmed.

Caps need to be ordered at the time of registration.

Team Spirit Wear

Piranhas' spirit wear will be available to order online shortly!

Team Communications

Email Newsletter: Each Sunday, during the swim season, our team newsletter is sent out via email with pertinent team information for the week. Included in this newsletter will be directions to the meet that week. Also, information on any social or team events and team announcements will be included. We have designed this e-newsletter in an attempt to streamline our team communication and to reduce the number of emails sent to team members. Some weeks additional short email announcements will be distributed as well. Sign up for the team newsletter here - at the top of the page. If you have registered your child or have signed up for the e-newsletter and are not receiving it, please check your "junk" mail box.

Text Messages

Sign up for text alerts and reminders! Text @pst2025 to 81010.  Text reminders are important because we often do not have access to a computer when there are weather delays or last minute changes.  Please have your children, babysitters and anyone else responsible for your swimmer this summer to sign up for text alerts.

Meet Opt In:

You must opt your child IN to the meet to participate - if a child has not declared they will be at the meet it will be assumed they cannot attend. Deadlines are typically the Friday before the meet and are firm.

Have questions? Please feel free to email the Palomar Swim Team Board of Directors.

Private Lessons

The swim coaches are available for private lessons. Schedules and costs are posted on the team bulletin board. You will pay the coach directly for lessons.
