Seals Service Commitment Positions and Crew Chiefs
Below is a description of Service Commitment Positions:
Timers/Recorders: Times/records first or seond half of all meets, with the exception of time trials when there is only one shift
Setup: Sets up tents/equipment before time trials and home meets, around 10:00AM - noon for time trials and 8:00AM-10:00 AM for home meets
Lineup/DQ Runner: Lines up 8 & Under swimmers to the correct lane and heat, picks up DQ sheets from judges to Colorado Desk
Breakdown: Breaks down tents/equipment after the time trials and home meets, and packs Seals trailer
Concession Stand: Sells coffee and food during the meets
Merchandise Sales: Sells Seals gear during the meets
Floater: Fills in various volunteer positions as needed
Timer Runner: Picks up timing sheets from timers to Colorado Desk
Assistant Head Timer: Helps the Head Timer during home meets with backup timing, breaks, and may step in as Head Timer if needed
Team Photograph: Helps plan and organize a professional photographer for the team photo and individual photography
MSL Picnic: Helps plan and execute event
Memorial Day Parade: Helps plan and execute event
Pump Up for Champs: Helps plan and execute event
Lapathon: Helps plan and execute event, works with fundraising head
End of Season Awards Banquet: Helps plan and execute the event
We are looking for a few Crew Chiefs and folks to fill season long positions. Taking on these positions would fulfill your MSL season service commitment.
Announcer: Announces the full time trials and home meets
Volunteer Coordinator: Oversees and manages all the Seals volunteer signups for all the meets
Assistant Volunteer Coordinator: Helps the Volunteer Coordinator track and record completion of volunteer shifts on deck during meets
Touch Pad Administrator: Works with Coach Mehrad and other team to seed all the meets on softward from home
Colorado Desk: Manages the Colorado timing system during the time trials and home meets
Computer Desk Crew: Manages all the computer system/data and prints out the award labels for the time trials and home meets
Setup: Leads the setup crew as they unload the Seals trailer and set up the tents/equipment for the time trials and home meets
Starter: Checks the audio equipment and calls out the starts for the time trials and home meets
Stroke & Turn Judges: Follows the Head Referee and serves as S&T judges for all the meets
Head Timer: Trains and gathers all the timers for the time trials and home meets
Deck Operations: Prints heat sheets/name tags for all the meets from home, and handles emergencies during the home meets
Ribbons: Manages/stores the ribbons for every meet
Concessions Coordinator: Schedules food vendors and organizes concessions for the home meets
Merchandise Coordinator: Manages/stores/sells the Seals merchandise for the home meets
Breakdown: Leads the breakdown crew as they break down tents/equipment for the time trials and home meets, then packs the Seals trailer
Trailer Driver: Drives the Seals trailer from Sausalito (where it is stored) to Tam High for the time trials and home meets
