25 Seals, ages 6 through 15, competed in “Thankswimming,” hosted by the Mendocino Coast Sea Dragons in the charming, seaside burgh of Fort Bragg, and, as you’ll read below, there’s much to be grateful for.
A few highlights:
- 86 of 122 event participations (71%) resulted in a new or personal best time – Zach enjoyed a leading 8 PBs.
- Seals maintained or advanced CBA division recognition across 98% of event participations.
- 96% of Seals competed in multiple events (Greyson, Isabella, Lily, Zach, & Colin led with 8 apiece).
- Elly, Noelle, Greyson, & Channing established or defended “A” division times - Channing had a leading 6 “A” times.
- Seals swam to 29 1st place finishes: Channing had 7; Zach- 6; Greyson- 4; Elly, Isabella, Oliver & Nile- 2; and 1 each for Sofia, Aili, Noelle & Ellie.
- Greyson swam her 1st place win in 50 Breast in AA time.
- Greyson’s 50 Breast & 100 Breast swims met qualifying times (again) for the (Dec 6-8) PC Short Course Winter Age Group Championships.
- Seals came out on top in the Boys 10 & Under 200 Free & 200 Medley Relays
According to the meet sheet, at this meet, awards will be given to the top 5 finishers in each individual event for divisions C, B, and A. Check with Coach Mehrad for awards.
