Relays!! Relays!! Relays!!
There will be relays on both days of the meet. We hope to enter as many relay teams as possible. We will announce the relays after warmup each day. Email [email protected] if your swimmer signed up but will not be attending one or both days of the meet.
Pre-Meet Checklist
- Meet at the team tents prior to team warmup. Swimmers ages 9 and older will meet at 8:00 AM and swimmers ages 8 and under will meet at 8:30 AM.
- Attend mandatory team meeting at 8:55 AM on Saturday and Sunday at the team tents.
Pre-Seeded Individual Events
This is “pre-seeded” meet which means heat and lane assignments will be available at the start of the meet. This means there is also no check-in requirement at the start of the meet. Also, the meet director asks that they are informed of all families that entered but are not attending to avoid empty lanes during the meet.
If your child registered but will not attend please email: [email protected] and [email protected]
Relays are not pre-seeded so swimmers should check in with the coaches about relay assignments around 10:00 AM each day.
During the Meet:
- Check in with coaches prior to each race. This is an opportunity for swimmers to review technical goals for the race.
- Cool-down after every race. This meet will have a two-lane pool for warm-up and cool-down. Depending on the age of the swimmer cool-down will typically be 150 – 300 yards of slow tempo swimming.
- Check-in with a coach after race cool-down so we can provide feedback.
Other Notes:
- Bring camping chairs for you swimmers to bring inside. Swimmers (no parents) will be permitted to set up chairs on the pool deck.
- If your swimmer will miss the team warmup or team meeting please contact: [email protected]
- Swimmers MUST check-in with their coach prior to scratching any race.
- No video is permitted on the block side of the pool.
