About the Orcas:
Founded in 1962, the Terra Linda Orcas swim team is the oldest of the 10 teams in the Marin Swim League (MSL). We are a Spring/Summer league team with our season starting in February for practice, leading up to competitive swimming in late April through June. We participate in seven dual swim meets (our team vs. another MSL team). We also have one mid-season All-Stars meet for swimmers across the league with a special qualifying time. Our final swim meet is a Championship Meet with ALL MSL teams competing for the top team score and is open to all swimmers. “Champs” is a great end to a fun swim season and everyone is encouraged to participate. Qualifications:
The team is open to all swimmers ages 5-18 who can swim one lap (25 yards) unassisted in the pool. For younger swimmers, and swimmers who are working up to unassisted swimming, we offer a separate Jr. Orcas program in Spring/Summer.

Junior Orca Program
The Junior Orca program is a series of small group swim lessons for children ages 4-9, taught by Terra Linda Orca coaches and select, seasoned high school swimmers. This program is open to the public and it runs for about 5-9 weeks (depending on pool and coach availability) with two daily 30-minute sessions per week.
