Volunteer Positions
Parent Meet Job Descriptions: Certain jobs require training on-deck and/or formal training. Formal training dates will be announced.

| Colorado Timing Equipment Operator | Enters information into the Colorado computer system, works with the Starter, and sits at the head table. | Yes |
| Swim Data Engineer (“Meet Manager Assistant”) | Handles event scratches, deck seeding, and resolves issues with swimmer entries. Uses Meet Manager software — despite the title, you are not managing the meet. | Yes |
| Starter | Calls swimmers to the blocks, sets them, manages whistles and timer plungers, and starts each heat and race. | Yes |
| Stroke and Turn Judge | Ensures swimmers perform strokes and turns correctly and writes DQ slips when rules are not followed. | Yes |
| Announcer | Operates the PA system, announces events, heats, swimmers, and general updates during a meet. Coordinates with the Starter. | No |
| Awards / Ribbons | Uses preprinted labels to prepare ribbons and organizes them in team bins for pickup. | No |
| Backup Timer | Uses a stopwatch per lane on the Starter’s signal; backs up electronic timing in case of malfunction. | No |
| DQ Runner | Collects DQ slips from judges and delivers them to the printer verifier after each event. | No |
| Event Check-In Table | Helps swimmers check in for events and manages crowd control so swimmers only enter behind the blocks when it’s their turn. No parents behind the blocks unless volunteering. | No |
| Head Table | Coordinates paperwork, delivers event sheets, posts results, and communicates between timers, coaches, announcers, and officials. | No |
| Hospitality | Sets up and delivers snacks and refreshments to volunteers during their shifts. | No |
