The Hollin Meadows Barracudas Swim Team is a seasonal team that is part of the Northern Virginia Swimming League (NVSL), which was founded in 1956 to sponsor competitive swimming and diving in and among the community swimming pools in Northern Virginia, and to develop in the children participating in this program a love for the sport, advanced aquatic skills, teamwork, and the principles of good sportsmanship.

Our team is made up of members of the Hollin Meadows Swim and Tennis Club, located in a welcoming community in the Ft. Hunt area of Alexandria. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success for the team and for themselves. Personal development is what is most important, and for swimmers, that means improving their times. We believe that by establishing a healthy environment that encourages kids to do their best, recognizes their contributions, and provides fun for the entire family, we will have met our goals.
