Exciting Updates for the 2025 Swim & Dive Season!

Dear Pinecrest Piranhas Families,

We’re excited to share that the Pinecrest Piranhas swim team will be competing in Division 4 for the 2025 NVSL season! Our competitors this year will be Vienna Woods, Hiddenbrook, Vienna Aquatic, Hamlet, and Orange Hunt. 

Our divers will be competing in Division 8 with Springboard, Mansion House, Commonwealth, Ilda Community, and Annandale.

We’re looking forward to an exciting season of personal bests, great sportsmanship, and team spirit!

Potential “Camp-Friendly” Morning Swim Practices

Interested in early morning "camp-friendly" swim team practices?

Please note: We understand that plans may change. Your response is not a commitment, and we are not guaranteeing these practices at this time. A final decision will be made before registration opens.

If offered, practices would be held 2-3 times per week from 7:00am-8:00am.

Swim Officials Needed – Stroke & Turn, Starters, and Referees

To ensure a smooth and successful season, we urgently need volunteers for key officiating roles, including Stroke & Turn Judges, Starters, and Referees. If you are interested in supporting the team in this way, please check out the NVSL training schedule here: NVSL Training Schedule

We would LOVE to have a large group attend this Nearby Stroke & Turn Training:

🕖 Time: 8am-10am 

We strongly encourage anyone interested in helping with officiating to attend. These roles are crucial for our meets and help ensure our swimmers can compete!

Dive Judges & Referees Needed!

We desperately need volunteers to serve as Dive Judges and Referees for the upcoming season! No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn and support our amazing divers. Training clinics will be available, and we’ll share details as soon as we have them.

Do you have friends who want to dive but belong to an NVSL pool that doesn’t have a dive program? They’re in luck! Our dive team is open to non-Pinecrest members who are members of another NVSL pool. Help us grow our team by sharing this exciting opportunity!
