EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SWIM LESSONS – 2025

 

OVERVIEW


The Moraga Ranch coaching staff offers private swim lessons to Ranch swimmers both in the Spring and Summer seasons. 

  • Spring – Learn-to-Swim lessons: March 15th, March 22nd, April 5th, April 12th, and April 19th, and May 3rd
  • Summer: June 2nd – July 25th (with Coach Marc and Coach Andie)

Below you will find detailed information on Spring Lessons, Summer Lessons, and the Cancellation Policy. Please review all the requirements before signing up for a lesson. 

2025 SPRING SWIM LESSONS 

Spring lessons are only available for prospective Mini Piranhas and 6 & unders, or any swimmers who are new to swim team and need additional preparation to be ready for the season. 

Requirements: Must meet the Minis or 6 & Under requirements (see here)

Days/Times: 

Saturday, March 15th, 12pm-3pm (Coach Andie)

Saturday, March 22nd, 9am-12pm (Coach Andie and Coach John)

Saturday, April 5th, 11am-2pm

Saturday, April 12th, 1pm-3pm

Saturday, April 19th, 12pm-3pm

Saturday, May 3rd, 12pm-3pm

Registration: Spring Swim Lessons will be open for registration on TeamUnify the Sunday before the lesson at 8PM. (For example, if lessons were scheduled for March 15th, the lesson sign-ups would be live on March 9th).

  • Lesson slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Please only sign up for one lesson per swimmer unless otherwise directed by Coach Andie or Coach John.
  • Each swimmer is allowed a maximum of one lesson per week during the Spring. 
  • If there are any available lesson slots on Tuesday after 7PM, Minis, 6&U, and learn-to-swim children can sign up for a second lesson.

Pricing:  $50/lesson. Payment is required at the time of sign-up to hold your slot.  

 

 2025 SUMMER SWIM LESSONS

Summer Swim Lessons will be open for registration on TeamUnify the Thursday before the lesson at 8PM. From Thursday through Saturday at 8PM, each swimmer is only permitted to sign up for 1 lesson. After Saturday at 8PM, a swimmer may sign up for additional lesson slots if they are available. 

Our Head Coaches and Junior Coaches will be offering lessons to the following groups:

Coach Marc - lessons for swim team members (9 & Up ONLY)

Coach Andie - lessons for swim team members only (6 & Up ONLY)

Junior Coach Avery - lessons for swim team members 12 & Under, Mini Piranhas, and learn-to-swim kids

Junior Coaches Sam, Cole, and Lils - lessons for swim team members 10 & Under, Mini Piranhas, and learn-to-swim kids

Payment is required at the time of sign-up to hold your slot.

Please note: you may not hire your own "outside coach" to give your child lessons at Moraga Ranch.

OMPA WEEK

During OMPA week we will not have lessons available unless you “win” a lesson with one of the coaches at the Auction which takes place in June.   

CANCELLATION POLICY

Ranch coaches are focused on providing the best swim lesson experience possible. All lessons are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, one week in advance. When you sign up your child for a lesson, the lesson time is held for you. You are paying for the lesson slot, not their attendance. Due to the limited number of lessons available, we are unable to accept cancellations. 

We recognize that conflicts do arise and recommend that you swap your lesson time with another family or post on the Moraga Ranch Piranhas Facebook page for another family to purchase your lesson spot directly from you. If your lesson will be attended by another swimmer, please update the lessons coordinator ([email protected]).

We understand there may be special situations that need extra consideration, and we will attempt to accommodate everyone fairly and evaluate these situations on a case-by-case basis. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the lessons coordinator ([email protected]).

If a lesson is canceled by a Ranch coach for circumstances beyond our control, we will schedule a make-up lesson directly with the swimmer’s family to ensure all lessons promised have been offered.
