Coaches and Directors
This is my fourth year as the head coach for Adelphi. Before Adelphi, I was head coach at Northridge (also in PMSL) for 2 seasons and was the assistant coach for 2 seasons. Prior to coaching in PMSL, I coached at a swim school in Florida for one year and was the assistant coach at St Dominic Academy high school for one year as well. I also currently coach for Machine Aquatics which is a year round swim team, where I am the site director at the Fairland location. Over the years I have realized how much passion I have for teaching kids how to swim and the relationships I have created while coaching.
I began my swimming life at Pointer Ridge pool at the age of 5 and later move to Belair Bath & Tennis where I swam for 11 years. Going into my sophomore year of high school I decided to give year round swimming another shot and joined Machine Aquatics for my last 3 years of high school. I then proceeded to continue my swimming career at the college level at St. Peter’s University. I look forward to another season with Adelphi!!
ASSISTANT HEAD COACH
Austin is super excited to start his sixth summer coaching at Adelphi! Austin swam for 13 seasons in the Herndon Swim League, first for his neighborhood Kingston Chase Fighters (11 seasons) and then with the Four Seasons Tidal Waves (2 seasons). After junior coaching for two seasons at Kingston Chase, he then switched to Four Seasons and spent two years as an assistant and then three years as head coach.
Following his graduation from James Madison University in spring 2019 and his final summer coaching with Four Seasons, Austin accepted a full-time coaching position with Machine Aquatics at its University of Maryland site. Now in his sixth season with Machine, he is the lead Senior and High Performance coach for the site.
During his first season with Machine, Austin accepted the head coach position with Adelphi and helped the team through the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season as well as the undefeated 2021 season in the Dolphins’ return to competition in Division B. After the 2021 season he moved into his current role as Assistant Head Coach for Adelphi and is looking forward to another great summer season with the Dolphins!
